Festival de Cannes 2020

На следующий день после выступления президента Франции 13 апреля  было официально объявлено, что Каннский фестиваль не состоится в этом году «в его оригинальной форме», не только в мае, но и в конце июня, как предполагалось раньше.  Тьерри Фремо  продолжает размышлять  над тем, в какой форме сможет все- таки состоятся фестиваль этого года. «Suite à la déclaration du Président de la République du lundi 13 avril, nous avons pris acte que le report envisagé à fin juin début juillet pour la 73e édition du Festival International du Film de Cannes n’est plus possible à cette date. Il apparaît désormais difficile de penser que le Festival de Cannes puisse être organisé cette année sous sa forme initiale. « Chacun sait que de nombreuses incertitudes règnent encore sur la situation sanitaire internationale. Nous espérons être en mesure de communiquer rapidement sur les formes que pourrait prendre ce Cannes 2020 ». Following the French President’ statement, on Monday, April 13th, we acknowledged that the postponement of the 73rd International Cannes Film Festival, initially considered for the end of June to the beginning of July, is no longer an option. It is clearly difficult to assume that the Festival de Cannes could be held this year in its original form. Nevertheless, since yesterday evening we have started many discussions with professionals, in France and abroad. They agree that the Festival de Cannes, an essential pillar for the film industry, must explore all contingencies allowing to support the year of Cinema by making Cannes 2020 real, in a way or another».
